Equipment
We're Only Here for the Gear
Playing with the gear is one of the main reasons that I enjoy photography! However, I don't consider
myself a "gadget guy" by any means. I don't buy things just to have the latest and greatest; most of the
things that I buy have been on the market for awhile, and some of my more recent purchases (e.g., the
Lubitel) have been quite far from the leading edge. I usually buy gear either because it provides me with
some new capability or because I want to replace something that I feel is getting in the way.
On these pages I'm going to attempt to provide a brief blurb about each of the various things that I've
bought over the years. Most of what I've bought has been the result of some careful analysis of what I
want versus what I can afford and other considerations, so I hope that my thoughts will help you with any
equipment decisions that you may need to make.
