Inertia
Inertia is:
- Reza Udhin (vocals and everything else)
- Ed Luxmoore (live synths)
- Eddie Tempest (live synths)
- Alexys B (live percussion/backing vocals)
They have a home page with lots of info.
We did some studio photos and also some photos out on the Cafe
Fish rooftop (previously seen in the photos of Leeanda). I shot the
indoor photos with my Bronica SQ-Ai on Ilford SFX with a #25 red
filter. For the outdoor photos, I used my Canon EOS-1N with a
540EZ flash for fill. Some outdoor photos were shot on Portra
400VC and others were shot on some Tri-X that's been sitting in my
refrigerator since 1995.
I've discovered that I like shooting groups of people. There are
obviously more things to go wrong, but it's fun to arrange them.

Outdoor

I think that this is the best of the color outdoor photos. L-R: Eddie,
Reza, Alexys, Ed.
I removed the two manipulated photos. They took up an awful lot of
space, and I'd rather add these black and white photos.

Some group photos on some of that Tri-X that's been my refrigerator
since 1994.
Studio
These photos were printed on Forte Polywarmtone RC (good stuff
and cheap too, but curls quite a lot for RC) and developed in Novalith
diluted 1:3 from the recommended mix. I think that lith prints look
really beautiful, but waiting for them to develop is a drag! I could
undoubtedly improve upon these.
These photos were developed for about 10 minutes each. I think that
they show the lith effect best.

This photo was developed for about 15 minutes. It's more like the
look that the band wanted, which was high-contrast, side-lit.
This photo was used (albeit with some digital manipulation) in the
centerfold of Inertia's new CD, Negative Prime.

Some more individual pictures, developed for about 15-20 minutes
each. The last picture is just a composite of the four individual photos.
Concert
On February 12, I photographed Inertia's performance at Camden
Underworld. Unfortunately, Camden Underworld seems to have a
very limited selection of lights, and the red lights tended to overwhelm
all the others. These are all just straight scans from the proof prints.
Most of the concert photos were shot with my Canon EOS stuff on
Fuji Superia 800 pushed to 1600 except where noted. I determined
my exposure by spot metering during the sound check and settled on
1/60 at f/2.8 (wide open).

Fisheye Photos
These were shot with the Bronica SQ-Ai and my new 35/3.5 fisheye
lens. I'm just getting used to working with the fisheye; believe it or not,
it takes a lot of practice. You can't fill the frame with anything unless
it's less than 2 feet away. I used Fuji Superia 400 pushed to 800, so I
lost a stop on the film and lost another stop on the aperture; I shot
most of these at 1/15 at f/4. Quite a bit of motion blur is evident.
